ISO Standards and family wellbeing

From the monitors that watch over sleeping children to car seats that are safe and easy to use, parents can rely on ISO standards.  But while some ISO Standards, such as ISOFIX car seats, have become a trusted household name, others are far less visible.

In fact, many ISO Standards are designed to anticipate and prevent the accidents that, according to UNICEF, account for more than 800 000 child deaths each year. Many of these deaths could have been avoided, making family safety a key priority for ISO. We develop standards that parents count on. Reliable and real-world relevant, ISO standards help manufacturers and businesses create a safer, more nurturing world for the most vulnerable and precious.

Find out more about the most commonly-used standards that protect children, who develops them, and new projects in the pipeline.
