Abstract
PreviewISO 22488:2011 specifies the protective clothing, gloves, boots and helmet to be used by ships' crews in fighting fires on board ships. These outfits are appropriate for the fighting of small- to medium-magnitude fires, before the operation of any installed fixed fire-fighting systems, and are not intended or suitable for entry into flames.
